Some thoughts on the candidates for Town Council.

I am delighted that Linda Kavanagh is running for another term as Mayor. She is a dear friend and has served us well in her role as our Town leader.

I am also pleased to support Dennis Brown and Cecil Yates, who are running for re-election to the Council. They have both done a great job in their positions as Council members and have earned re-election.

As to the seat being vacated by Cassie Hansen, I am going to vote for Art Tolis. I have known Art for many years. He is competent and will work well with the other Council members.

Mike Archambault is a nice guy, but he does not play well with others. His frequent temper outbursts when he served on the Council a few years ago were embarrassing to the Council and to the Town. Perhaps he has learned to control his temper, but I don’t want to take that chance.

I don’t know the other candidate, Tim Rawlings. Maybe he is a great candidate, but he needs to demonstrate his leadership abilities before he tries to step up to the Council.
