Brief power outage hits FH Wednesday morning

About 3,600 SRP customers in Fountain Hills lost power Wednesday morning with all being restored within about half an hour.

According to SRP spokesman Jeff Lane the outage was caused by the failure of a mechanical device being installed at the Wheeler Substation, located on Palisades Boulevard north of Shea.

About 80 percent of the customers had power restored by about 8:45, with the rest back online by 9:05.
