Breton’s Automotive is celebrating its 30th year in business.
This independent family-owned service and repair shop was established in 1995.
Michael Breton started Breton’s Mobile Auto Repair working out of his van, providing mobile repair service for a short time prior to securing a brick-and-mortar location in South Scottsdale where the business remained for 22 years.
In the early days, Breton’s work revolved around hot rods, restoration projects and general maintenance. It was no small feat for a young man starting a new business while supporting a growing family, a press release read.
As a baby, Breton’s youngest son Logan was frequently with his father riding in a backpack while dad worked on cars. The business at the shop grew over the years and many techs crossed their paths, until Logan decided he wanted to join in the family business.
Apparently, all that time observing dad as a youngster paid off.
Logan worked at the shop part-time after school and then became a full-time technician upon graduation.
Logan quickly passed his ASE certification tests and has continued to hone his skills over the past decade, frequently attending continuing education classes to stay on top of new technologies such as hybrid vehicles.
Breton’s has been exclusively family-owned and operated ever since Logan joined the team in 2014.
The third member of the team is Carole Breton who serves as the service writer, marketing director, bookkeeper and more.
Carole has been the friendly face at the front desk or the happy voice on the other end of the phone since 2012.
The Bretons believe in treating customers the way they would like to be treated.
Auto repair is often a dreaded task, and Carole goes out of her way to make it a pleasant experience.
“As a team, we want to make sure our customers understand what their vehicle needs and work with them to maintain their car or truck with reasonable recommendations,” Carole said.
“At the end of September 2017, our business property in Scottsdale was to be torn down and replaced with an apartment building. This was the push we needed to bring the shop home to Fountain Hills. We relocated to our current location on Falcon Drive in Fountain Hills and officially re-opened in November 2017.
“We absolutely love running our business here in Fountain Hills. We retained a lot of our existing clientele from around the valley and around the country, and we gained many new wonderful local customers as well.”
For the past 30 years, Michael and Breton’s Automotive & Speed Shop has provided excellent service, repair, maintenance and mechanical restoration work.
“We are proud to serve our hometown of Fountain Hills and the surrounding areas with everything from a basic oil change to superchargers and classic restoration work,” Carole said.
The Breton family have been residents of this community since 1984. For more information about Breton’s or the services it provides, visit bretonsauto.com, call 480-421-9048 or stop by the shop at 17123 East Falcon Drive.
