Blood drive is this weekend in Fountain Hills

Blood drive begins Friday

The Fountain Hills Community Center will host a blood drive Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22-23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., co-hosted by Iron Roots Strength & Co.

According to Fountain Hills blood drive coordinator Paul Heintz, summer can be a challenging season for blood collection.

“We have a very giving population in Fountain Hills, but it is tough in the summertime,” Heintz said. “We had nine new donors in April, and I’d love to see that number grow just to keep the blood flowing, pun intended.”
