Event sponsored by Kiwanis Club

A Blood Drive is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive.

So far, a total of 105 donors are scheduled and more are needed, especially on Saturday, a press release said.

To make an appointment, contact Dr. Liz Smith by phone at 480-837-2600, by email at no1drliz@gmail.com or Paul Appeldorn at 480-836-8213 or by email at appeldop@hotmail.com. Otherwise, donors may sign up by visiting the Vitalant Blood Services website at bloodhero.com (choose Kiwanis).

Walk-ins are welcome but priority is given to appointments.

If unable to make the Kiwanis blood drive, the High School Kiwanis Key Club is hosting its blood drive tomorrow, April 16, at the FHUSD Learning Center from 7:30 a.m. until 12 noon.

The self-interview is available online at bloodsystems.org/health.aspx and must be done the day of donation.

If done at home, donors must print the receipt at the end of the interview and bring it in.
