It’s time to step up and be a hero for those who need life-saving blood.

The Noon Kiwanis Club and Town of Fountain Hills are partnering up to offer a community blood drive Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22.

The drive, in cooperation with United Blood Services, is set for both days from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center.

It’s time to step up and be a hero for those who need life-saving blood.

The Noon Kiwanis Club and Town of Fountain Hills are partnering up to offer a community blood drive Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22.

The drive, in cooperation with United Blood Services, is set for both days from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center.

To make an appointment for giving blood, contact Dr. Liz Smith at 837-2600 or (480) 206-4785 or Paul Appeldorn at 836-8213.

Walk-ins also will be accepted during the drive. The best time for walk-ins is late morning and early afternoon both days.

One may also visit www.bloodhero.com and enter in the sponsor code “Kiwanis.”

From now through Aug. 31, all blood donors will be automatically entered to win a 2015 VW Golf, the Motor Trend car of the year.
