In honor of October’s Feast of St. Francis, The Fountains is hosting its third annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 a.m. All furry, feathered, fuzzy, scaly, winged, webbed, finned, arachnid or shelly friends are welcome to come for a blessing by Pastor David Felten and photo.

A professional photographer will take photographs of those in attendance with their pets. The morning will also include a petting zoo of farm animals, furry friends from the local nonprofit Fearless Kitty and reptilian friends from the Arizona Herpetological Society. The Girl Scouts will be distributing gift bags for pets.

This outdoor gathering will include a brief ceremony with live music followed by a time of blessing for individual pets and an opportunity to meet and mingle with other pets and their humans.

Saddle up the beasts and besties and bring them for a blessing this next Sunday at The Fountains as kids love the goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, pig and pony in the petty zoo, a press release read.

Join The Fountains on its patio at 9:30 a.m. at 15300 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. Seating and light refreshments will be available.
