Blaze Sports Academy invites current and potential players to an open gym evaluation for competitive basketball teams on Wednesday, March 5, at the Fountain Hills Middle School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Evaluations will be held for the upcoming spring season to determine how many teams will be formed. Organizers are also looking to build the program with boys and girls interested in playing in their year-round competitive basketball program for kids in grades three through eight.

The spring season runs from March 11 to May 17 with practice on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and games scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights. The program offers flexibility to meld with school and sports schedules.

Additional sessions will be offered for summer, fall and winter. Blaze Sports Academy is a local, non-profit organization providing year-round sports programs for the youth of Fountain Hills and the surrounding communities. The group is committed to the development of young athletes by building character, integrity and a strong work ethic while concentrating on team concepts, individual advancement and fun.
