Summer project

Big upgrades in the Fountain Hills Middle School gym

Grant provided majority of funding

Students returning to Fountain Hills Middle School will enjoy a few big enhancements to the gym, whether during PE or playing for the Falcons later this school year.

Step into the gym and the enhancements are immediately recognizable, starting with the brand-new wood flooring, complete with a Falcon logo at halfcourt. Randy Jensen also slapped on a fresh coat of paint, and new safety pads have been attached to the walls under the main baskets. Two new basketball hoops have also been added to the side walls.

This work was completed over the summer, with Fountain Hills Unified School District providing a third of the funding and the remaining coming from a grant. All told, the project cost about $148,000.
