The Fountain will turn green at 1 p.m.
Irish dancers, bagpiper, Celtic music, Irish and fair food, and green beer are scheduled throughout the day.
A special free children’s area has been designated with four bounce houses, face painting and musicade by Fireman Bill.
Admission will be $5 for adults 21 years old and older. Individuals under 21 will be admitted free. Discounted $1 coupons can be obtained at www.fhsons.org.
The town also will make sure the Fountain turns green on the actual St. Patrick's Day -- Tuesday, March 17. The picture-worthy event will occur at noon Tuesday.
While no other events are planned for that day in Fountain Park, a special edition of "Art on the Avenue" will take place Tuesday. Fountain Hills Art League members and other artists will have their booths open and ready to sell art items on Avenue of the Fountains Plaza starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
