Beatles Nativity at The Fountains in Fountain Hills

‘Let it Be Christmas’ performs on Dec. 17

Posted

Join Matthew, Mark, John, Paul, George, Ringo and over 30 musicians and singers on the “Long and Winding Road” to Bethlehem on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“Let it Be Christmas” is a one-act rock opera re-imagining the Nativity story fused with the iconic music of The Beatles, a press release read.

Produced and directed by The Fountains’ own Donna Wilde and Richard Palalay with stage direction by Marilyn Larrain, the cast and musicians will weave the familiar story of Jesus’ birth with Fab Four classics. “It’s the definitive ‘Here Comes the Son’ story, after all,’” the release continued.

“Let it Be Christmas” will be offered as part of The Fountains regular Sunday morning celebration at 9:30 a.m. and as a free-standing musical at 5 p.m.

“You don’t need a ‘Ticket to Ride’ this ‘Magical Mystery’ fusion. It’s free (although the ‘Tax Man’ will be receiving a love offering,’” the release said.

Originally written and produced by Granger Community Church in Indiana, this musical was adapted by the Epic Theatre Company in Illinois and has since been performed across the Midwest.

Mark calendars for Sunday, Dec. 17 for this Christmas celebration at The Fountains, 15300 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.
