Arizona made the fodder for comedy routines and political shows again. It is disappointing that our Rep. Kavanagh defended SB1062 (right-to-refuse-service) and it is reported he wishes to pass a like bill.

How does one tell by looking that one is gay? What other groups would be prohibited? It did not take long for more than 107 companies and the NFL to write Gov. Brewer to voice their opinion.

How much money did this bill cost us with cancelled conferences and almost the Super Bowl? What did it cost for Arizona’s reputation?

Not one Democrat voted for the bill. Did we not learn from HB1070 (Papers, please)? But are you familiar with HB2305 (voter suppression law)? You may wish to look into the Protect Your Right to Vote Committee.

I know we are getting lots of negative news, but I hope you saw Rep. Chad Campbell on national and local news. He is the minority chair for the House of Representatives. He has been professional and excellent in presenting the better laws that Arizona has passed (Medical Marijuana, Medicare). How about sending him a pat on the back: chcampbell@azleg.gov.

But the main thing is to vote. It is important to vote for people you think will vote for the best interests of Arizona. There are also many offices that are open for individuals who are willing to help make a change. Please note what the elected officials are doing and vote for the ones you feel represent you.
