The high school baseball team lost its first sectional showdown Wednesday evening, April 30, in a 3-0 outing against the team from Chino Valley.
With both teams going into the game at 9-0 in section play, this game decides the section championship for Division III but, unfortunately, it did not fall in the Falcons' favor.
The local boys played a very close game in this pitchers' duel, with each team only orchestrating a handful of hits. Chino Valley managed to get one run across the plate in the third and another two in the sixth, leading to the 3-0 outcome.
