The Maricopa County Recorder's Office mailed almost one million ballots last week for 26 local elections across Maricopa County. Voters in Fountain Hills are considering a School District budget override and voting for two candidates to serve on the Sanitary District Board of Directors.

These all ballot-by-mail elections will run until Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7. This is the first time that all local elections in Maricopa County will be held by mail. Voters can return their ballot or request a replacement ballot until Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.

Voters who wish to vote in person, need a replacement ballot, or miss the Nov. 1 deadline to return their ballots by mail can visit any ballot center across the county.

Some ballot centers are open all 28 days of the election period, including nights and weekends depending on the location. The ballot center for on-site balloting in Fountain Hills is the School District Learning Center on the high school campus at Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards. That site will open on Saturday, Oct. 28, and will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday through Election Day, Nov. 7. On Election Day the center will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
