Attorneys for Anna Mae Blessing, a 92-year-old Fountain Hills woman accused of killing her son this past July at a condo they shared in Fountain Hills, are expected to ask for a dismissal of charges due to the woman’s failing health.
Blessing’s attorney, Jennine Burns, told the court on Dec. 3 that the woman suffered a stroke in jail and has been transferred to a hospice facility for care.
Burns asked the court to reschedule the hearing set for Tuesday so that her defense could prepare a motion to have the charges dismissed.
