Application to National Registry of Historic Places presented for fountain, park

Initial review in lengthy process underway

The Town of Fountain Hills has submitted an application to have the fountain and Fountain Park designated to the National Registry of Historic Places, and that application is currently under review by the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office.

This could eventually lead to designation as a National Historic Landmark.

The town council directed the effort go forward a couple of years ago at the suggestion of Councilmember Hannah Larrabee.
