Apartment plan presented to Fountain Hills Chamber

Council consideration Jan. 17

Following a difficult discussion before the Planning and Zoning Commission principals, Sandor Development had to be convinced not to walk away from a proposed apartment project on Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive in Fountain Hills.

Jason Morris told an audience at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting Jan. 4, that Chamber of Commerce officials, town economic development staff and separate conversations with some individual Town Council members persuaded them to proceed to the next step, a hearing on a rezoning application before the council on Jan. 17.

“Thank you for not giving up on our town,” Chamber President/CEO Betsy LaVoie told Morris following his presentation.
