As President of Fountain Hills Sister Cities, I am overjoyed with the great experience everyone shared at Fountain Hills Oktoberfest.
What a beautiful day it was in our beloved town. I’ve had the pleasure of calling Fountain Hills home for over 30 years, and I can truly say — there’s no place like it. Thank you all who came from all over the valley to celebrate a tradition that’s been going strong around the world for more than 200 years — Oktoberfest!
We’re incredibly proud of our community and the support that makes events like this possible. This local celebration is brought to you by Fountain Hills Sister Cities, and this year is especially meaningful — we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary.
My heartfelt thanks to these many people and organizations who made the event possible:
Phil’s Filling station for keeping us fed and happy. Mountain View Kitchen for those delicious, classic strudels. Water & Ice for keeping us cool under the sun. Euro Pizza for serving up international wines. Bone Haus and Hofbräu for keeping the beer flowing all day long!
Our amazing band, Die Echten Waldbuam, coming to us all the way from Germany since 2008. And a warm welcome to Die Liedermaeuse, joining us for the first time this year. Our MC with Tempe Sister Cities. Our dedicated town staff, who’ve been instrumental in planning and logistics. The Fountain Hills Times, always a strong supporter in helping us spread the word.
And last but never least, our volunteers. Without their energy and time, (around 250 hours) none of this would be possible.
To all our sponsors and vendors listed in the event program — thank you. Your commitment to our town and events like this is what makes Fountain Hills such a special place to live, visit and celebrate.
