The 2024 Live Poinsettia Tree Project, organized by members of the Fountain Hills Leadership Academy (FHLA), is marking its 26th year as a cherished holiday tradition, and all are invited to participate.
Orders must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 26, for names and messages to appear at the tree site along the Avenue of the Fountains throughout the holiday season.
Members of the community have the opportunity to order one or more poinsettia plants as a tribute to honor a special individual or to remember a loved one.
The names of donors, honorees and commemorative messages will be displayed in poster frames next to the tree, which will be unveiled beginning Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Fountain Hills Stroll in the Glow event.
Orders received after Nov. 26 are welcome and will be included in the online tributes that will appear on the Poinsettia Tree website at a later date.
Poinsettias are $20 each for members of I Love Fountain Hills or $25 each for non-members.
Orders can only be placed online at ILoveFountainHills.org/poinsettia-tree/ using a credit card or PayPal. All donations are tax-deductible.
The Poinsettia Tree Project is a program of I Love Fountain Hills, also known as the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association (FHCCA).
Mike Pameditis is the project director and the FHLA class eight Poinsettia Tree co-chairs are Joanne Colella, Nick Proctor and Margot Richardson-Corlett. Verde Valley Nursery in Fountain Hills provides the poinsettia plants.
