Unless Kimberly Miller is a strict vegetarian, she has no credibility to criticize hunters. In a court of law, if you hire a person to kill someone, you are just as guilty as the killer, of first degree murder.
We are lucky we live in a society where we don’t have to go out and kill our own dinner; there are still places where you have to do that. When I was growing up, if we wanted a chicken dinner, one of us went out and killed a chicken, plucked it and gutted it. If you have never done it, it is not a pleasant task.
Our society is so far removed from our hunter gatherer roots that some people don’t even realize meat comes from live animals. There are still people who enjoy being self-sufficient, and go out and catch their own dinner.

You might say that domestic animals are different than wild animals, but once a domestic animal figures out that you are going to kill it, it will fight to stay alive just as hard as a wild animal.
