Andrew W. Young, 34 years old, passed away quietly on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013.
Andy is survived by his two amazing children, Autumn Brienne Young, age 13, and Kelton William Goddard, age 4, as well as their mothers, Danielle Muddam and Tonya Goddard, his former wife. He also leaves behind his mother, Kathleen Young; two brothers, Jerry Young (Cheryl DuFour) and Mike (Dawn) Young; as well as five sisters, Cynthia (Harold) Fulcher, Debbye (David) Friedson, Shell Bell (Michele Young and Debbie Reed), Queenie (Kolleen Young and Mark Watson) and Lisa Young.
He had a huge extended family including numerous nephews and nieces, many of whom have families of their own and many others who had the good fortune of knowing their Uncle Andy throughout their youth.
Andrew spent the last couple of years of his life with Stephanie and her two children, Cayden and Emmaleigh Nickerson. He now rests with the Heavenly Father and is embraced by his father, Tony Lee Young, and his nephew, Bryan Lee White.
Andy was an exceptional man with a poet’s soul. His smile was as brilliant as his mind. The tragedy of his passing has been felt in the hearts of everyone he ever knew.
The world will miss his infectious laughter and wicked sense of humor with that undeniable twinkle in his eye. Andy had an unparalleled ability to find the perfect words for any occasion and a bear hug that let you feel how deeply he cared.
His talents are too plentiful to list here, so, please, come honor Andy with his family at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at North Chapel, 17210 E. Amhurst Dr., Fountain Hills.
If you wish to make a contribution, please make a donation to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital for his son, Kelton Goddard. His family is also arranging a fund for his children that will be applied to their futures. Arrangements have been entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
