It’s wrong and dangerous for America that Senator Schumer and his colleagues still, after one-and-a-half years, are holding Trump’s nominations up for key ambassador positions like South Korea, China, Germany, Turkey or Egypt at a time when the U.S. faces enormous threats from Putin, North Korea, China and the Middle East.

It’s time to stop the bickering and holding up these key positions. We need a functioning federal government. Past presidents had their nominees put in place shortly after taking office. It’s ridiculous and has to stop, as it’s instrumental for our country’s standing in the world.

Grilling of all nominees by Democrats who then disqualify them because of their beliefs in Christian moral teachings is unconscionable. One was Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who is now serving America and doing a tremendous job. It didn’t matter that Pompeo had served as Director of the CIA, a member of Congress, graduated number one in his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point, earned his law degree from Harvard where he served on the Harvard Law review and also served in the U.S. Army as captain from 1986 to 1991 and fought in the first Gulf War. A stellar resume. Prejudice against someone holding a biblical view on marriage and family means no evangelical Christian or faithful Roman Catholic need apply.

New media and the anti-Christian left continue to show how out of step with the rest of America they are by using raunchy attacks on conservatives and Christians. These media elites believe anyone with faith as poor, uneducated and easy to command while these elites claim to be tolerant and inclusive.

Jesus said we would experience tribulation in the world, but to stand firm, keep the faith and He will never forsake us.
