For over 25 years Eleanor Bentson greeted all who passed through the door of the Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center, welcoming them as if they were entering her own living room.
Originally at the trailer located in Fountain Park where she and then Executive Director Terry Saverson nurtured the town’s first museum; then to the shared space with the early town government housed in Building C of the now Fountain Hills Medical Center; finally to its current location on Verde River……Eleanor was there with her contagious smile, warm hug, heart healthy chocolate, unmatched amounts of information and brochures on Arizona as well as her beloved Fountain Hills.

Most importantly, she shared her unique gift of making people feel welcome, special and at home.
Eleanor is no longer at the Chamber Visitor Center, but her family and friends want to celebrate her long-time service, accomplishments and Fountain Hills ambassadorship in conjunction with her 95th birthday. Please save the date for Friday, April 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church to join us in this celebration and tribute to a most special lady.
Stay tuned…more details to follow on how you can participate, join in the fun and make this a memorable event for Eleanor Mae.
