AC unit cause of smoke in Target store

Fountain Hills Fire Department units responded to the Target store in Fountain Hills at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15. There was a report of a light smoke haze inside the store, which firefighters found when they arrived.

The source of the smoke was determined to be a rooftop air conditioning unit. The power was turned off to the unit and damage was limited to the air conditioner.

Store personnel were advised to follow up with technicians to repair the unit.
