The Obama administration is mired in an alphabet soup of scandals, encompassing the IRS, DOJ, NSA, EPA, FBI, ATF, DHS, HHS, UN, VA, and State Dept., exposing suppression to silence opposition, targeted harassment, collusion to control information, the DOJ trumping up false charges against anyone who dare speak truth to power, and much more.

Without any fanfare, the NSA last week opened the Utah “Data Center,” the size of seven football fields, with the capability of storing five Zettabytes of data. Just one Zettabyte equals the storage capacity of 62.5 billion I-phones, a stack 295,928 miles high, reaching past the moon, times five!

In other words, it can store every electronic communication of everyone worldwide, for about 100 years. NSA whistleblowers warn that it is literally a “turnkey situation to a totalitarian state.”

Although James Clapper, as well as the NSA director, told Congress in March that “they do not hold data of U.S. citizens,” “not wittingly”, we now know that is a broad misrepresentation of the truth.

In addition to spying of Fox and AP reporters, the WH has ordered turning over call data of millions of Americans.

Then the “Prism” metadata mining program is exposed by the Washington Post, which taps into the servers of nine major Internet providers, scouring through all data types, of all Americans. Obama gives a new name to the surveillance state.

How ironic, that today is the 64th anniversary of George Orwell’s “1984”…in light of recent scandals, Obama is the new Orwell, and yes, big brother is watching!
