The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to eight reports of vehicle collisions in Fountain Hills between March 7 and March 14.

On Thursday, March 7, a resident reported property damage at a home in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. That damage appears to have been caused by a vehicle collision. The incident is still being investigated.

On Friday, March 8, at about 6 p.m. it was reported that a vehicle collided with the rear of a stopped vehicle near Shea and Palisades boulevards. Deputies say the driver was distracted when they struck the stopped vehicle.

On Wednesday, March 13, two vehicles collided near La Montana and Avenue of the Fountains at about 11:30 a.m. It appears this collision was due to one driver failing to yield.

On Thursday, March 14, there was a collision of two vehicles at the intersection of Grande and El Pueblo boulevards. Deputies are attributing this incident to an improper turn by one of the drivers.

On Thursday, March 14, deputies responded to a collision on Shea Boulevard near SR 87. This was a rear-end crash by a distracted driver.

Three of the incidents were reported previously including a vehicle being backed into a fire hydrant on Avenue of the Fountains, causing significant flooding; a driver striking a street sign near El Lago and Fountain Hills boulevards; and a hit and run incident at a car wash.

*On Thursday, March 7, deputies received a report of a large amount of grease being dumped behind a Fountain Hills business. This report was taken as criminal damage and there were no immediate suspects.

*On Friday, March 8, a resident of the 12000 block of Via Del Sol reported a wallet taken from their residence. On Wednesday, March 13 the resident reported the wallet had been found inside the home.

*On Friday, March 8, there was a report of a vehicle colliding with a street sign in the area of Fountain Hills and El Lago boulevards. Deputies found a trail of leaking fluid to the area of Bainbridge Avenue and Golden Eagle Boulevard where the trail ended. The incident is under investigation.

*On Saturday, March 9, a resident reported a window in their vehicle had been smashed out while it was parked in the 16800 block of Avenue of the Fountains. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle at the time of the report. An investigation is continuing.

*On Monday, March 11, there was damage to property at RRYO Touchless Car Wash. A dark-colored vehicle was reported seen. An investigation is underway.

*Monday, March 11, 9:31 a.m., theft, 17000 block of El Lago Blvd.

*Friday, March 15, 1:49 p.m., theft, 13200 block of Fountain Hills Blvd.
