One of Fountain Hill’s very own football stars is getting the chance to represent not only his community and high school, but also his state and country.
Dakota Hamby, senior free safety and wide receiver for the Fountain Hills High School football team, has been invited to participate in the Down Under Sports Tournaments, hosted on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Hamby, who racked up 66 tackles this past season and was named Defensive Fountain Hills Football Player of the Year, is accepting donations from sponsors to go toward the cost of playing in the summer competition.
Donations can be submitted online at downundersports.com/payment/4E43-CB6B-B9F3, or by phone at 435-753-4732.
There will also be upcoming fundraisers in the community to help send Hamby to the land down under.
