What promises to be one of the most unusual concerts of the Christmas season will be held Monday, Dec. 11, when trombonist Christopher Bill and friends present “A Brass Christmas Celebration.”

Bill is well-known on both stage and the internet. His cover of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” went viral in 2014. An innovator, Bill presents classically arranged popular songs multi-tracked on trombone. This concert is one of eight Christmas shows he will perform this season across the United States.

One of the friends joining Bill in performance is tuba player Patrick Sheridan. Sheridan is a favorite of Fountain Hills concertgoers. Not only does he play a wicked tuba, Sheridan is famous for his stand-up comedy.

With a full trombone quartet, plus tuba, performing Christmas music, the concert will be enjoyed by all ages.

The performance starts at 7 p.m., at Church of the Ascension, 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased at the door. (Students $15 each with valid student ID.) For more information call 480-837-1066.
