Josie Harding is the new athletic trainer for the Fountain Hills School District for the 2013-14 school year.

A contract between the school district and Spooner & Shaft Physical Therapy provides each student athlete and coach with professional level athletic training services.

Harding recently moved to Mesa to attend graduate school at A.T. Still University with the objective of obtaining her masters’ degree in athletic training.

While attending graduate school, she will work at the high school as the head athletic trainer.

She was raised in Wyoming and appreciates a small town atmosphere.

She has been involved in flag football, basketball, track and field, competitive swimming and softball.

The University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. recruited her to play softball. She earned a bachelor of science degree in athletic training with a minor in health wellness and promotion.

Harding said she is a baseball fan whose favorite team is the Red Sox. She also watches and attends many rodeos.

“Sports are a big part of my life, but I also enjoy being outdoors. I go hiking, running, hunting…anything that takes me outdoors.”

Harding can be contacted at (307) 256-0399 or at j.harding@spoonerphysicaltherapy.com.
