The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers to join its cause to keep the trail in good condition for all to use.
The garden requires stewardship from the community to keep the trail accessible to all.

The Fountain Hills Rotary Club will host Frank Lambert who will discuss his military experience and how the lessons he learned in the Army helped him achieve success in the private sector. His presentation is Tuesday, March 5.
Held at the American Legion Post 58, 16837 E. Parkview Ave., the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills meets at 4 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month.
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group will convene March 4.
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at the Community Center. Pre-registration is required for all presentations. The programs are free for Community Center members or $5 for non-members.

Fountain Hills Woodworkers meets Saturday, March 9, for a woodworking presentation. Meetings are held each month September through May. Some of the meetings are support sessions for local non-profit organizations.
There is no charge to join Fountain Hills Woodworkers. Anyone interested in woodworking is invited to send an email to kim.colenso@cox.net for information on the club along with time and location of the meeting.
As a note to local non-profits with a woodworking need -- the club provides woodworking at no cost to non-profits, including the picnic tables in the Community Garden. The garden provided the materials and the club built the tables.
Anyone looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight-loss is invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
Al-Anon family meetings are held each Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the classroom building.
The only requirement to attend is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Attendees will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
The Lions Club of Fountain Hills is hosting a raffle for a Russ Fields photograph of wild horses. Each raffle ticket is $5. To purchase a ticket and support Lions Club projects, contact Laura Olson at 480-403-1264 or Don Wendel at 507-766-3076.
Contract bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center. Membership in the Community Center is required to participate.
