Arlis Jeanne Mitchell of Fountain Hills, Arizona passed away peacefully in her home March 24, 2024.
Arlis was born in 1933 in Kelso, Washington. She was the eighth child of a family of ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Anderson of Chandler, Arizona, her four children, Jerry Mitchell, Joni Mitchell, Wade Mitchell and Tracey Mitchell. She was blessed to have eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Arlis was a devout and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Her passion was her faith.
Arlis was married to the love of her life Ron Mitchell for almost sixty-three years. Together they spent most of their adult lives in ministry both domestically and abroad as missionaries with a focus on discipleship and evangelism. Together they started Faith Bible Church in Aloha, Oregon in 1970 and left for other ministry assignments in 1979.
Arlis loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her many friends.
She will be remembered as a gentle and incredibly caring and loving person to everyone she met and was always generous with her time and loved encouraging and praying for others.
A memorial service will be held at the Fountian Hills Campus of Scottsdale Bible Church, 15202 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. The service will be take place April 22nd at 11:00 A.M.
