For years the name Dave Karl was familiar to many in Fountain Hills. Having played at virtually every restaurant in town and a regular on the stage of Munch and Music, Dave was a talented entertainment delight for our community.
As many of you know, Dave had a bag of musical characters he portrayed, but none more amazing then his transition to Kenny Rogers. Even Las Vegas took notice and made him a part of the “Legends in Concert.” But now Dave has achieved what he most desired: A regular gig in a beautiful venue.
Here is his letter to me regarding his new position.
“Hi Allen. Yes, we have moved to Tennessee. I was contacted by Johnny Stuart, the founder of Legends in Concert in Las Vegas back in June. He offered me a chance to perform at Theater of the Stars in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, doing the Kenny and Dolly Tribute Show. The morning show will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. six days a week and we are hoping to start in September. I’m so excited for this opportunity to advance in my career and so grateful to have met so many wonderful people in Arizona. Tell the folks in Fountain Hills they can still follow me at dkarl.com.”
So we won’t see Dave around anymore, but we all wish him the best with his new career.
