Silver Auction returns under new ownership
Posted
Nearly 200 vehicles are expected to cross the auction block Thanksgiving weekend from Friday, Nov. 22, to Sunday, Nov. 26, at We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center at Fort McDowell.
Silver Auctions Arizona will conduct its first classic car auction since the ownership change in September. Mitch Silver sold the Arizona portion of his business to Emmett Rice, a long-time Amarillo, Texas, car dealer.
Rice founded and operated Vintage Autohaus & Imports, a classic car dealership in Amarillo.
“We plan to keep the same style of auctions that Silver has fostered over the years with integrity,” said Rice.
Joining Rice in the new endeavor are Andy Stone, formerly of Leake Auctions, who will spearhead Silver Auctions Arizona; Jason Rose, former vice president of operations at Barrett-Jackson; Rob Brunton, who has worked with Penske Automotive and Leake; and Rodney Stokes, general sales manager for Vintage Autohaus & Imports.
Auction times will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 25, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26.
