Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reports that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, March 14, through Wednesday, March 20.

Friday, March 15

*A resident of the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro reported that their former roommate cancelled a delivery without their permission.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro boulevards for a non-injury rear end traffic collision. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Saturday, March 16

*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and La Montana Drive where a traffic collision was reported after a driver failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported. Vehicles were towed from the scene.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Echo Hill Drive reported that an unknown subject entered the fenced residential yard of the victim. Deputies contacted the subject who was subsequently transported for medical treatment.

*A resident of the 13000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. reported that an unknown subject trespassed on residential property. The victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.

Sunday, March 17

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. The driver was issued a criminal speed citation for traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. A driver was stopped for speeding travelling 72 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. Upon contacting the driver, the deputy observed signs of impairment and began a DUI investigation which determined the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was towed.

Monday, March 18

*A resident of the 16000 block of El Lago Blvd. reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s credit card without permission to make purchases totaling approximately $600.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on McDowell Mountain Road at MP3. A driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 72 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Monterey Drive. A driver was stopped for operating a vehicle with one headlight. A check of records revealed that the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Calaveras Avenue reported that an unknown subject took a laptop computer from the inside of an open top Jeep vehicle. The victim was not willing to aid in prosecution.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Venetian Lane reported that an unknown subject attempted to scam the victim out of money by accessing her personal computer.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject hit a vehicle in a parking lot and fled the scene without reporting the collision.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Winston Lane reported that a known subject stole the victim’s vehicle by obtaining registration for the vehicle under fraudulent pretexts.

Tuesday, March 19

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard and Palmer Way. A driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 68 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Armijo Drive where a subject with a valid arrest warrant was taken into custody and booked into jail.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Armijo Drive where a subject was arrested for assault domestic violence and booked into jail.

Wednesday, March 20

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Saguaro boulevards where a vehicle operating on private property in a driveway struck a fire hydrant causing it to break from its base and leak water.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Golden Eagle Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s credit card without permission.
