The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library meets Thursday, Jan. 18, with a discussion on taking a break from the chaos of everyday life.
Led by Virginia Ray, the discussion will cover stress management, breathing techniques and using meditation as a way to soothe mind and body.
Virginia Ray has lived in Arizona since 2002. Her career in healthcare began in the hospital environment and transitioned into corporate sales.
Ray has been a hospice volunteer since the 1980s and her experience has provided her with awareness about both the strength and frailty of the human spirit, a press release said.
Now in her second career, Ray teaches and facilitates a variety of meditations to help others in their journey through life including hypnotherapy, stress management and regression therapy.
Ray loves sharing the many ways to discover meditation to soothe the soul, the release said. The public can access her classes at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library meets Thursday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. at the Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive. This is a free event and all are invited to attend.
