FHHS food drive this week
Posted
The Fountain Hills High School Honor Society has kicked off the 2015 food drive to benefit the Extended Hands Food Bank, and this year’s organizers are inviting the entire town to take part in the big event.
Working with the FHHS math department, NHS kicked off this year’s food drive on Nov. 9, with the event scheduled to run through Friday, Nov. 20.
During that time, math classes will collect non-perishable food items, as well as cash donations, grocery store credit cards and tax credit donations on behalf of the local Extended Hands Food Bank.
While many donations will be brought in by FHHS students, NHS encourages anyone interested in pitching in to drop by the high school front office to make a contribution.
Suggested item donations include canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter or prepared foods. Participants are asked not to include ramen, glass containers or perishable foods.
For questions, contact the FHHS front office at 664-5500.
