First Baptist to stream Harvest America
Posted
The free Harvest America outreach event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
Local church leaders recognize that many may not want to or are unable to travel to Glendale so First Baptist Church, 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd., will host a livestream telecast.
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend. Child care will be provided. For more information about the local telecast, contact Clifford Vick at cvick58@hotmail.com or visit harvest.org.
The goal of Harvest America is to impact a nation desperately in need of hope. Evangelist Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside and Irvine, Calif., and Maui, Hawaii, will deliver the message
Laurie has written more than 70 books and appears on the nationally syndicated radio program, A New Beginning. He also can be seen in a weekly 30-minute television program, G regLaurie.tv.
Christian music artists will be Needtobreathe, MercyMe, Trip Lee and Phil Wickham.
Nearly 400 Valley of the Sun churches and organizations are sponsoring the event. It is believed to be one of the largest collaborative evangelistic outreach events to take place in this area.
The 2016 Harvest America event at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas was livestreamed to more than 7,200 remote host locations and drew a combined 357,000 participants, making it the largest one-day live evangelistic event in American history.
