At the annual ariZoni’s Excellence in Theatre Awards Ceremony, Fountain Hills Theater was honored with 12 awards.
The Youth Theater garnered 21 nominations and the Mainstage and Mainstage Too Theaters received 24 nominations.
FHT was honored to be recognized in a theater community offering that typically has many outstanding productions every season.
The Mainstage was awarded Best Overall Musical for both “Young Frankenstein,” co-produced by Patricia Tonzi and Patty Torrilhon, and directed by Peter J. Hill, and “The Soul of Broadway: Act II,” produced by Chanel Bragg and Mitchell Vantrease.
The winner for Artistic Specialization was also for “Young Frankenstein” for the projection designs of Todd Carrie.
The Youth Theater received nine awards; eight were for the production “Aristocats Kids” -- Best Overall Musical, Best Principal Actress Hunter DiGrazia, Best Director Ross Collins, Best Music Direction Paige Beckman, Best Choreography Jenny Iverson, Best Set Design Ross Collins, Best Costumes Anne Kelleher and Marcie Rozalsky and Best Make-up and Hair Tralonie Smith.
Best Principal Actor was awarded to Asher Sheppard for “The Fabulous Fable Factory.”
“Fountain Hills Theater is proud to be part of the vibrant Valley theater community and congratulates all of our nominees and winners,” said FHT Executive Director Val Stasik.
