Thefts reported in MCSO weekly update for Fountain Hills

Sheriff’s calls in Fountain Hills

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 25, through Wednesday, Oct. 1. Three of those calls were related to thefts from parked vehicles. Deputies remind people to lock their vehicle and remove valuables when the vehicle is unattended.

Thursday, Sept. 25

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Delray Drive where it was reported an unknown subject stole multiple items from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The vehicle was left unlocked at the time of the theft.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 25, through Wednesday, Oct. 1. Three of those calls were related to thefts from parked vehicles. Deputies remind people to lock their vehicle and remove valuables when the vehicle is unattended.

Thursday, Sept. 25

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Delray Drive where it was reported an unknown subject stole multiple items from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The vehicle was left unlocked at the time of the theft.

*Deputies received a report from a victim in the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. It was reported that a subject made online threats against the complainant.

Friday, Sept. 26

*Deputies responded to Centipede and Grassland drives where a hit-and-run traffic collision was reported. According to deputies, an unknown motorist struck an unoccupied parked vehicle and fled the area without reporting the incident or exchanging information. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Oro Grande Drive reported an unknown subject stole items from a vehicle that was parked in a garage. The vehicle was unlocked, and the garage door was open at the time of the theft.

Saturday, Sept. 27

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject stole the victim’s wallet from a shopping cart while at a business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported three unknown subjects attempted to use a stolen credit card at a business.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Oro Grande Drive reported an unknown subject stole items from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Eagle Ridge Drive where a private property hit-and-run collision was reported. Deputies report an unknown motorist struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in the parking lot of a private business. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

Monday, Sept. 29

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kendall Drive where a resident reported an unoccupied vehicle parked in the roadway with the keys inside. Deputies report the vehicle’s owner was located and recovered the vehicle. The owner claimed the vehicle had been stolen, but this has happened several times in the past. The subject also reported that his residence was burglarized by an unknown subject but refused to provide deputies with additional information.

*Deputies received a report that a subject made online threats toward the complainant.

Tuesday, Sept. 30

*Deputies made a traffic stop at Fountain Hills Boulevard and Bainbridge Avenue when a driver failed to maintain their lane. Deputies report that upon contacting the driver, they initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was processed for DUI, and charges are pending lab analysis.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported a subject created a disturbance at an apartment complex, resulting in several complainants calling MCSO. The subject was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, Oct. 1

*A resident of the 16000 block of Trevino Drive reported an unknown subject threw an unknown object through the window of a residence, breaking the window.
