River of Time in Fountain Hills announces new exhibit

‘We Are Here Gallery’ pays homage to Desert Botanical Garden and its founder

The River of Time Museum & Exploration Center has announced the opening of its newest exhibit in the “We Are Here Gallery,” which pays tribute to the Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden and the volun-teers who helped create it.

Titled “50 Years of Community Spirit,” the exhibit celebrates the garden’s role in Fountain Hills’ 50-year history. Created in partnership with the Botanical Garden and the Sonoran Conservancy of Fountain Hills, the display features a video presentation, a founder’s tribute, a timeline highlighting the many volunteer groups that have kept the garden thriving.

“The garden has been an all-volunteer project through its entire life,” said Sherri Starkey, the museum’s executive director. “It’s important to recognize how powerful community involvement can be.”
