Capt. Kevin Thomas, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office commander for District 7 based in Fountain Hills, reported to the town council recently that implementation of an additional squad, along with a scheduling adjustment, is making a significant impact in the community.
Thomas said deputies are able to spend more time interacting with residents and businesses during their routine patrol activities. His report covered the FY25 fourth quarter ending in June. He said deputies reached out to 37 businesses to make contact on issues not related to law enforcement.
Thomas said they also participated in Falcon Fest, the post-graduation activities for Fountain Hills High School, as well as had personnel present for the Back to School Bash to man displays and answer questions.
