Christ Church of the Ascension will host its next installment of “Concerts at Christ Church” on Sunday, April 27, at 4:30 p.m. in the main church. The free event, “Harpsichord Favorites,” will feature Dr. Guy Whatley performing works by Bach, Rameau, Couperin, Handel, Byrd, and Howells, celebrating 400 years of harpsichord music.
Whatley, an internationally recognized harpsichordist and organist, has performed in renowned venues across Japan, China, Argentina, Brazil, Central America, and Europe. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University, along with diplomas from The Royal College of Music and The Royal Schools of Music.
Christ Church of the Ascension is located at 4015 E. Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley. While admission is free, donations benefiting the church’s choir program will be accepted at the door or online at ccaaz.org/donate.
