The Fountain Hills Photography Club (FHPC) recently announced its Annual Exhibition of Member Photos at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The show opens Thursday, May 2, and runs throughout the month of May.
The exhibit features 44 photos from 13 FHPC members. The subjects include landscapes from Arizona to Antarctica, flora and fauna, local and not, cityscapes and skylines, starry skies and sunsets, a press release read.
The club has a talented cadre of photographers and the public is invited to enjoy the exhibit all month long.
An opening reception is planned for Thursday, May 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Community Center. The free reception is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
The next Fountain Hills Photography Club meeting is Wednesday, May 8, at 6 p.m. in the Community Center.
The speaker for May 8 is FHPC member Peter Jones who will discuss the use of artificial intelligence in photography.
This month’s agenda also includes several new features including a “before and after” presentation by several club members who will illustrate how each of them transformed an image from ordinary to extraordinary through step-by-step post-processing.
After a brief cookies and conversation break, the club will debut another new segment, “What Do You Think?”
This segment will present an image, and members will be asked to present on how it can best be transformed through post-processing while illustrating the suggestions in real time.
Lastly, those present will enjoy the monthly slideshow of club member photographs.
Inviting all to join in, the Fountain Hills Photography Club is a growing group of enthusiastic local photographers of all levels intent on sharpening their skills, exploring the capabilities of smartphone cameras and artificial intelligence, experiencing the wonders of post-processing and exchanging the stories behind the photos.
