New Journey Lutheran Church recently announced that Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church has become a platinum sponsor for the upcoming 2025 Food for Kidz Fountain Hills Community Food Pack.
This generous donation, communicated by Paul Appledorn, Sue Bye and Eileen Doench of Shepherd of the Hills, will ensure the event’s success by funding the purchase of ingredients for the food packages, according to a press release.
Denny Rubenow, Food for Kidz co-chair, expressed his excitement about this new partnership.
“We are so thrilled to have Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran join us in this incredible initiative to help our community. Their financial contribution will directly cover the cost of ingredients, and we are truly grateful for their support, as well as the many volunteers and donors who make this event possible.”
Thanks to the support from the community, the event has reached full capacity. Registration for volunteers to participate in the packing event is now closed.
Gwen Rubenow, Fountain Hills Community Food Pack co-chair, conveyed her appreciation to all who signed up, ensuring there will be enough ingredients and space to run the event smoothly.
The 2025 Food for Kidz Fountain Hills Community Food Pack will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. when volunteers will come together to package meals for children in need.
This annual event highlights the significance of community involvement and the impact of working together to make a difference.
