First, a big “thank you” to all of the folks that put their name, their time and their heart into the race for town council and mayor, and congratulations to our new leadership!
Now we have a chance to start over; a new beginning, if you will. And it’s time to get to work as a community and for our new council and mayor to take the voters, and our residents and taxpayers, seriously. They’ve told us what they want (read their lips, no new taxes!) and they’ve also told us what they don’t want, and I encourage all of our new leaders to remember that as we start over.
Fountain Hills has a proud past, and the potential for a very bright future if, and only if, we stay focused on what matters most: Maintaining the infrastructure, improving our public safety and sticking to the basics. That’s what we demand and new leadership would be wise to remember that.
