Opportunity

We have an incredible opportunity, through hard work and getting out the vote, to start taking our country back and reestablishing the protection of our balance of power to protect our democracy.

This is at every level of our government in local, state and federal elections. We will not be complacent. We will not be bullied by the smear campaigns of those fearfully clinging desperately to their illusion of perceived power. Supposedly being “good in business at feathering your own nest” and “glad-handing/sharing a couple of beers” does not serve our best interests as a town, a state nor at the federal level. This is especially true when they continue to reveal themselves under scrutiny of their ongoing conflicts of interests as well as their support from questionable PACs.

This, combined with their respective receipt of financial campaign contributions from these groups representing corporate interests, does not benefit us as citizens and constituents. The people with these agendas do not serve us as a town, a state, nor a country. They undermine the very face of democracy, cloaking in buzz-word ideals but empty with any real meaning beyond the words themselves.

It would be insufferable for me to believe that these people are a majority in our town of Fountain Hills. I’ve got news for you: They are not the majority, as they would have you believe, and they bring disrespect to the people of this community with their destructive vitriol.

Don't be distracted by the vitriol and their bullying. We can be the majority for change in our town; we all need to vote! Vote Aug. 28 and Nov. 6 for positive change! Vote for Ginny Dickey for mayor Aug. 28!
