I survived a frightening and severe case of COVID-19 thanks to the amazing HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center team. After my arrival in the emergency room, I was admitted and hospitalized in isolation for seven days while undergoing intensive, aggressive and experimental treatment. I was cared for by 57 (yes, I counted them all) individuals consisting of 13 doctor’s visits, 14 registered nurses, 14 nursing assistants, eight tech aides and others including respiratory therapists, CT scan technicians, etc.
I am so grateful for the successful treatment, the emotional support and for the compassion that everyone provided me during my COVID-19 crisis. If not for the profound expertise of each of these persons, I very well might not be here today. I am forever indebted to all of them for saving my life.
