Conflicts

Hate has no home here. We do not expect the same politics of division to take place here in Fountain Hills as it does in my hometown of Chicago. In recent days, false attacks have been waged against Ginny Dickey who is running for Mayor of Fountain Hills. Personal attacks have been made against her supporters. We as citizens of Fountain Hills must focus on the issues that concern our beautiful town.

Ginny Dickey wants to have the opportunity to tackle those issues. Fountain Hills has been the hometown of Ginny Dickey and her family for almost 35 years. She is committed to Fountain Hills and has shown that commitment by serving this community as a councilwoman, president of the school board, as well as participating in many volunteer activities.

Cecil Yates is also running for mayor. There are issues regarding his association with the four-story, green Park Place apartments on Avenue of the Fountains. Cecil Yates and Trent Ruskin work for CPI. Trent Ruskin endorsed Yates for mayor.

There is a web of conflicts involving Cecil Yates as former councilman, Shea/Connelly Development Company, and Yates’ employer, Commercial Properties, Inc.(CPI). Shea/Connelly built Park Place. CPI has a contract to be the commercial leasing agent for Park Place. That contract came only after Yates led the charge to fire our town attorney.

The Town was involved in a lawsuit with Shea/Connelly Development stemming from untimely payment of development fees. Yates has a “testimonial” on the Shea/Connelly Development website touting seven joint projects with CPI. This is not the first time that Shea has supported Yates in his political aspirations. Don’t you see why Cecil Yates proposes development solutions at every turn?

Ginny Dickey is a leader who will be transparent, honest and a voice for the people. Vote for Ginny Dickey.
