More than 3,000 people died on 9-11. We held a non-partisan flag event and colors were posted by American Legion Post 58 at the Memorial by the Fountain. Approximately 75-85 people were in attendance.

This was advertised on social media and the front page of The Fountain Hills Times newspaper. You know who wasn’t there? Our mayor, Ginny Dickey!

This is our flag. Not any one party’s, but ours. We are all Americans together. It’s past time to start acting like it.
