This time of year is a great time to visit our Fountain Hills Botanical Garden. The birds are active, looking for nesting sites, and plants are blooming or getting ready to.
Brittlebush, chuparosa, Mormon tea, creosote, flattop buckwheat and triangle bursage are blooming now. The blooms on some plants are difficult to see so you need to look closely. This is a totally native garden with Mother Nature taking care of watering. If we get some of the predicted rain, the lichen on the rocks turns brilliant colors.
If you are enjoying the trail with your dogs, please pick up their waste and take it with you. Our volunteers have been finding droppings while maintaining the trail and that is not pleasant for them or anyone else visiting. We want everyone to have a peaceful, relaxing walk.
